If you are planning to Indianapolis and a sports fan as well, consider visiting Indianapolis Colts’ Lucas Oil Stadium. In addition to very good results throughout the past decade, this season the Colts are playing extremely well. They were awarded with this brand new stadium for their unstoppable performance.

Lucas Oil Stadium is located just outside the downtown and was opened in 2008. The architecture of the stadium has a certain retro look. When it was built, it has the world’s largest installation of movable glass. However, the interior of the stadium is equipped with modern architectural techniques such as a huge retraceable roof and a wall of windows.

As the Colts are flying high this year, it would cost a lot of money if you intend to watch them practice or play. However, checking out the stadium when they are playing away can be a lot cheaper. Tours are offered on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 11 am, 1 pm, and 3 pm. It costs only $7 for adults whereas $5 for kids. The tickets are sold on first come first serve basis on the day of tour.

The tour duration is about one hour and you’ll get a chance to be on the field, enter the locker room and even make a stop at the press box. Don’t forget to bring a camera with you so that you can capture the memorable moments. Unlike other such tours, a camera is allowed in this tour.

So, if you visit Indianapolis, don’t forget to visit the home of the still unbeatable team of this season.
